An exploration of masculinity and femininity as a metaphor for change the way we fit garments to our bodies. Amorphous uses the two principles, precision and performance, to create the most accessible, versatile, and functional way to address the fit.
Western Satire
Women’s 19th century southern decadence meets a contemporary expression of gender roles. Western Satire identifies accessories as objects that are greater than vanity, they are reflections of how we feel, what we want to say, and how we choose to say it.
The Designer

A focus of my experimentation identifies norms and expectations around gender role, appropriateness, and inclusivity. I pursue the equilibrium where quality, construction, fit, and adaptability all reach their highest potential in the patternmaking process. My process turns to architecture and period infleunces during the design process. Looking to traditional silhouette, dressmaking technique, line, and shape to explore my experimentation.
