Saoirse’s Garden

Saoirse’s Garden is an experimental collection of fashion and design that portrays the evolution of Jake Thomas Wright’s queer identity. The collection references a mixture of unconventional punk and rave fashion with aspects of traditional 18th century tailoring presented in a modern geometric fashion. Saoirse, pronounced “Sur-Sha” is a traditional name that originated during the irish war of indepencence in the 1920’s. Saoirse was eventually seen as a name signifying freedom. The Garden emphasizes that this collection has, in a way, grown up together. Each piece is interchangable and works together to complete the mission of Saoirse’s Garden.

Studded Denim

These pants were made out of stretchy gray denim. Using contrast stitching, each seam is accompanied by decorative stitching. These pants were inspired by a loose silhouette and punk-like loops and hardware.

Commissions?

Like nearly everything Jake makes, these pants are one-of-a-kind, using a limited quantity of gray denim gifted by a mentor. Although the pants cannot be replicated with the exact same color of denim, Jake is open to commissions, to create new garments in a similar style as those found here.
